Kate Gosselin Book Controversy: Did Jon Steal Hard Drive For Tell-All’s Author?

Jon Gosselin secretly gave the author of a new Kate Gosselin book computer hard drives containing deeply personal information, according to an explosive new report.

Two law firms say Robert Hoffman’s tell-all about Kate Gosselin violated trade secrets and copyright laws, and it was pulled off of Amazon after only two days.

Hoffman admits obtaining Kate’s computer hard drive, but maintains he pulled it out of her trash (no joke) and that Jon had nothing to do with his action.

But now a source close to the situation tells a different story.

“Jon made copies of her hard drive and gave them to Rob as a backup plan in case there was anything he needed while they were going through their divorce,” a source tells Radar.

Hoffman maintains he did not get any of the information from Jon.

“Regarding Jon Gosselin, as stated clearly in the book, he had absolutely nothing to do with personally giving me any information whatsoever for the book,” he said.

Rob’s book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World, is filled with what appear to be emails from Kate, the Discovery network, contracts and personal documents.

The book also contains allegations that Kate has been violent with her children, and that Child Protective Services were called because of her actions twice.

Hoffman says he hasn’t even printed the half of it, saying:

“The other 90 percent of the material that I possess will not be published, ever, but you can be sure that if I’m falsely accused of anything and drug [sic] into court, or called a liar by Kate Gosselin or her lawyers, this information will come out then, including photographs. I also have physical and photographic evidence to back up my claims in the book.”

“There is so much more to this that hasn’t been revealed.”

Jon has not commented on the allegations made here.

Kate Gosselin Takes Runway At New York Fashion Week For Charit

On Wednesday night, Kate Gosselin will be taking to the runway during New York Fashion Week for a good cause, the “Real Fashion, Real Women” show. Despite her controversial past, show insiders say the new Kate has been nothing but a delight.

“We reached out to Kate’s people, and they came back right away and said yes. She loved it,” the show’s host and organizer, Derek Warburton, tells me. “Kate is so nice, sweet and accommodating and cool. She started writing us directly.”

However, not everything has gone so smoothly. Once word got out that the one-time reality TV mom would be walking in the show, the backlash was immediate, especially on Twitter.

“We have all been in Twitter wars about Kate,” says Warburton. “They were attacking us for having her in the show. I responded saying, ‘Listen, we are not paying her. She is doing this out of the goodness of her heart.’ What’s remarkable is every time we get a nasty tweet about Kate, she writes and apologizes. She doesn’t care about the haters, but she cares about us, the charity. She must have apologized to me five times for what people say about her.”

Warburton promises that Gosselin will be wearing an amazing gown and have great hair.

The “Real Fashion, Real Women” show benefits Bottomless Closet, an organization that helps disadvantaged women become self-sufficient. It will feature 21 “real women” and five celebrity models, as well as professional models. One of the celebs, “Real Housewives of New York City” cast member Aviva Drescher, says she can’t wait to meet Gosselin.

 

Kate Gosselin joins ranks of hated celeb moms with high heeled kids

Kate Gosselin has found herself once again slammed by celebrity watchers- this time for a photo she tweeted of one of her famous eight in a pair of high heels. The Twitter storm over the photo brings to mind other, more A-list, celebrity moms who have come under fire for their high heel loving offspring.

“Oh, hafta make u guess who just HAD to try on my heels that I just unpacked from my bag tonight… Starts w an ‘M’!” Said the tweet by Gosselin accompanied with a photo of her eleven year old daughter teetering in rhinestone studded peep toe heels.

The photo drew instant ire from the internet community with many blasting the mom for everything from her daughter wearing the heels, to her painted toe nails, to her bare legs. A few commenters spoke out in favor of the reality television mom, pointing out the Maddy is nearing her teenage years and asking what girl didn’t, at some point, try on their mom’s shoes.

The images of kids in high heels, particularly those kids with famous parents, have become something of a hot button issue for many. Suri Cruise, daughter of recently divorced celebrity couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, started the controversy when she was photographed in heels as a toddler.

While Suri’s mom Katie Holmes defended her high heel wearing tot by saying that she felt the shoes would be supportive as they were specially made to help teach young children how to ballroom dance pediatricians came forward by the dozen to promote the health dangers of high heels in growing feet.

Since the Suri Cruise shoe controversy everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Alex Rodriguez have been second guessed for allowing their daughters to wear high heels. Of course, the one thing that Paltrow, Cruise, and Rodriguez have in common that Kate Gosselin doesn’t, besides a firmer footing in calling themselves celebrities, is that their kids were all much, much younger than Gosselin’s when they were photographed clad in high heels.

So why so much hate for Kate? The Twitter storm over the playful picture seems way out of line when comparing the comments to the actual picture. Most likely it has more to do with what people have already decided about how good of a mom they think Kate Gosselin is than it does with the picture itself.

 

Jon Gosselin Apologizes To Ex-Wife Kate Gosselin

Jon Gosselin has apologized to his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin.

In a new interview with People magazine, the former reality star and father of eight children says that despite a bitter divorce, he and Kate are getting along better — and he regrets some of his post-divorce behavior.

“I am sorry, because I did stuff I wouldn’t want done to me,” he told the magazine, referring to the multiple women he very publicly dated after their split, and he now realizes his own faults. “I was passive-aggressive. Then I’d get mad, but I was the one who wasn’t communicating.”

Mistakes were made, but Jon and Kate have both matured he said, telling People that he thinks Kate is a “great mom” but they just have different parenting styles.

Jon and Kate’s divorce will go down as one of the worst splits to play out in the public eye, with both parties fighting for custody of their eight children.

But Jon will always be remembered for the less-than classy moves that followed after his split with Kate in 2009 — which included adopting a hard-partying lifestyle, dating younger women such as Hailey Glassman and tabloid reporter Kate Major, and having an affair with the family’s former nanny.

Today, Jon, 35, has moved back to Berks County, Pa., after two years of moving from place to place, and recently took a job as director of sales and promotions for Gameface Int., reports People.

What do Lady Gaga and Kate Gosselin have in common?

Probably not much, but…

Both are celebrating their birthdays today! The reality-TV mom turns 37, while the pop superstar is 26.

“My kids often remind me how old I’m getting with comments like, ‘You were born in 1975, Mom?!!'” Gosselin writes in her latest blog post for CouponCabin.com. “‘Wow, that was a loooong time ago! It was last century!'”

“Mady has repeatedly announced, ‘You’re 37 with no wrinkles,’ as if reminding me of my new age AND that wrinkles are around the corner is a NICE thing to say!” she continues. “I told her to get her eyes checked because I, in fact, have plenty of wrinkles!”

As for birthday gifts, Gosselin writes, “My kids each hand made me an adorable card and hid them under their beds until they couldn’t stand it anymore. They’ve already presented them to me a bit early and I LOVE each cute little creation!”

“Happy Birthday to me. Now if only this extra year could be traded to someone who is looking for an extra one…I’d give it to you for a really great deal! Any takers?”

Kate Gosselin: Coke or Pepsi?

Kate Gosselin often takes to her Twitter account to talk with her fans. Often, fans ask her questions and Kate answers. Sometimes, the questions are about rumors, asking Kate to clear them. Other times, fans asks some more trivial questions, but Kate is always true to her fans and she answers!

Last night, she was asked the utmost important questions: Coke or Pepsi? Sure, it seems silly, but the Coke/Pepsi war has gone on for quite sometime. There are blind taste tests conducted from time to time, but typically, the results are split down the middle, despite many people being dedicated to one brand.

So, which does Kate Gosselin prefer?

Gosselin tweeted, “coke hands down. I only drink a rare diet coke, never pepsi.”

Though typically the numbers are split, coke seems to have a slight edge when it comes to preference.

Kate Gosselin Has Big Surprises for Kids

Kate Gosselin is planning some big surprises for Mady and Cara’s birthday party on Saturday! The mom of eight is a busy bee trying to get some things done while her brood is in school today.

“Good day all! Busy day doing surprise stuff! Can’t elaborate but having kid fun! Will check in when I can. Miss you all (Twitter still giving fits),” Kate tweeted Friday mid-morning.

It sounds like Kate Gosselin is planning some special things for all of her kids. It’s hard to throw a party for the twins and to not include the six little ones—or at least have something fun planned that they can be a part of. If you have watched their TLC show, Kate Plus 8, you probably know that every birthday party has fun for all. Kate hasn’t revealed what she has in store for the twins’ special day, but you can be sure it’s going to be loads of fun.

Unfortunately this is going to be a birthday party that viewers and fans won’t be able to watch. Hopefully Kate will blog about it and post some photos!

 

 

Kate Gosselin Goes 88 MPH, Pays Fine

Kate Gosselin was clocked driving 88 miles per hour in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but she had an excellent excuse for the officer who stopped her. She was hurrying to get home to her kids.

According to a report from the York Daily Record, the mom of eight and former star of TLC’s reality show Kate Plus Eight could have told the officer she was on her way to Mars because he ticketed her just the same.

It seems the speeding incident took place back in August, but just made the local Pennsylvania news on Monday. According to a traffic docket that was filed District Judge Rodney Hartman’s office, Kate Gosselin pleaded guilty to speeding. She was traveling north on Route 222, near Route 897, in Brecknock Township, Pennsylvania.

It was a state police officer in Ephrata, Pennsylvania who pulled Kate Gosselin over, after detecting her speed of 88 miles per hour on radar. So what do you think of the excuse she gave the nice officer? Was she really hurrying to get back home to the eight little Gosselin children, or was she simply driving with a lead foot at 1:37 in the morning?

Kate Gosselin didn’t appear in court to take care of the speeding charges, opting instead to mail in her fine of $174. Now that she’s unemployed (her reality show Kate Plus Eight was canceled by the TLC network), she probably wishes she had that money back.

Is there a moral to this story? Ask Kate Gosselin. She might tell you it was worth it to have gotten home to her children a minute or two sooner than she would have, had she been driving within the normal speed limit. But the time she was detained while being ticketed likely made up for that.

Is there a good side to this story of Mama Gosselin speeding? Yes, there is. At least those eight children weren’t in the car with her.

 

 

Kate Gosselin wants to return to TV

Kate Gosselin’s reality show doesn’t end until tonight, but the “Kate Plus 8” star is already talking about a return to television.

The TV personality said during an interview on the “Today” show that the finale is “the end of an era,” and that the show’s fans are “devastated.”

“There is sadness, because it’s the end of an era,” Gosselin told Matt Lauer. “I feel sad for my kids because of all of the opportunities that they’re now questioning. … I feel sad for fans, because they’re devastated. They’re saying, you know, you’re the neighbor moving far away and we won’t see you again. But there’s also fear because this has been, although maybe not my career, it has been the start essentially of my career and my job and the way I’ve been providing for my kids for six years. And so you know, it is a little scary.”

The mom of twins and sextuplets added that she hopes TV will continue to be part of her life.

“I think at this point, the best opportunity for all of us would be me continuing on TV as a way to provide for my kids,” she said. “Something that’s exciting and challenging for me has been TV, and I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

And she’s not opposed to putting her kids back on the small screen, either.

“You know, if the right thing came along, I think we are all still in (agreement) with it,” she said, adding, “I’m sure you will see my kids again at some point.”

Kate Gosselin — Official Family Party Commemorating Show’s End

Kate Gosselin is planning an official family party to commemorate the end of their reality show, Kate Plus Eight. She recently blogged about the upcoming party plans on her new website, KatePlusMy8.com.

According to a report from Babble, Kate indicated that the party would be held on Saturday evening at the family’s home in Pennsylvania. She is even planning to serve a cake that reads, “Job Well Done, Kate + 8.”

Cake and ice cream are on the menu, as are a barrage of memories the family will reminisce about together. Kate has always been big on family parties, so it’s not a huge surprise that she’ll throw one to celebrate the end of the show.

Of course, despite the party plans, Kate Gosselin certainly isn’t celebrating the fact that she is no longer gainfully employed. She now has to figure out a way to support her eight kids—supplemented by Jon Gosselin’s child support payments, of course—and still live in the manner to which they’ve all grown accustomed. That’s not going to be easy, Kate!

Kate Gosselin closes the blog on her website by saying, “It’s been a long 6 years… one that needs a good old-fashioned family bonding celebration… Don’t you think?”

So what do you think Kate Gosselin’s next move might be? Once the cake and ice cream are all eaten up and the party hats are put away, what will the new mood be in the Gosselin household? It would be nice if Kate would consider downsizing. Then she could possibly afford to do the occasional TV talk show, and the kids could learn to live a fairly normal life.
