Casey Anthony walked out of jail a free woman in the early hours of July 17. Her location remains a mystery. Finally some photos that may be Casey Anthony have surfaced. Photos showcased on TMZ’s website of a woman that looks a lot like Casey Anthony have taken the internet by storm. However, there‘s been no confirmation of whether these photos from Ohio are really Casey Anthony. In Session tried to get to the bottom of this mystery by enlisting some state of the art technology.
Paul Schuepp, CEO of Animetrics, develops face recognition software. Face recognition software identifies someone by using digital images. Schuepp analyzed the photos of the woman in Ohio using his unique software that is also employed by the FBI, CIA and NSA. This software has the unique ability to create a three dimensional image from a two dimensional photo. According to Schuepp this capability provides more information about the contours, texture and topography of a person’s face. This additional information allows the software to be more accurate when identifying subjects in photos. Schuepp says his analysis indicates that there’s an 80 percent probability that the photos of the woman in Ohio are in fact Casey Anthony. Here is a link to a video of this technology in action:
